Installation Note: Choosing the Right Plenum Box Type
When specifying and installing Ventmann Plenum Boxes, the orientation of the HVAC ductwork connection (where the air comes from) dictates the optimal box type for best acoustic and thermal performance.
Key Installation Observation:
- For "From Above" (Top Entry) Installations: Please select the Acoustic Plenum Box (GTG Series). This type is designed to primarily address and mitigate sound transmission from the ducting system into the occupied space, which is typically the priority for vertical (top) connections.
- For Lateral (Side Entry) Installations: Please select the "V" Shape Insulated Thermo Box (VTBOX Series). This type is insulated and features the specific "V" shaped air path required for optimal thermal regulation and air delivery when connecting from the side.
